Cary Scott Lowenstein
Cary Scott Lowenstein, dancer/singer/actor, died Nov. 29 in Boca Raton, Fla., of complications due to AIDS. He was 30.
He began his career in a production of “Those City Lights” at the Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. In 1980, he performed in “Manhattan Showboat” at Radio City Music Hall. That same year he landed the role of Mike in the national tour of “A Chorus Line” and later performed the role on Broadway.
Other shows included “Song and Dance,””The Tap Dance Kid” and the national tour of “Sophisticated Ladies,” where he met his future wife, Lynn Gendron, a dancer, choreographer and actress.
Both he and his wife toured the U.S. and Europe with “Peter Maxwell’s Ballroom Dance Theatre.”
He was a featured dancer in the Michael Jackson video “Bad” and appeared in the film “Wild Orchid 2: Two Shades of Blue” and the Showtime special “Red Shoe Diaries.”

His wife died last year of an inoperable brain tumor.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Toby Lowenstein; and three sisters.
